Here’s the most outstandingly cute anecdote from the Golden Globes.

File this under: Mom, exactly what is it that you do?

On Sunday night, Amy Adams had to tell her 7 year old daughter, Aviana, the facts of life: Mom is a movie star.

I ran into Adams on Monday night in West Hollywood at Craig’s having a quiet dinner with actor-director Darren LeGallo and producer Chuck Roven and his wife, Stephanie.

Did you watch the Golden Globes, I asked them?

Amy and Darren then told this story. “Aviana saw the people getting the awards and she said, Mom, do you have one?”

Amy replied: “Well, as a matter of fact, I do. I have two.” Amy won back to back Globes in 2014 and 2015 for “Big Eyes” and “American Hustle.”

Aviana asked: Where are they? “They’re up on a shelf,” Amy told her and took them down.

How did the little girl react? I wish I could show you the pictures, but the rights belong to Aviana– of the little girl having dinner on her TV table, big grin, with a Golden Globe on either side of her plate. It’s a sight to behold! Wait til Aviana finds out her mom also has 5 Oscar nominations!

Adam Shankman was on a Television Critics Association panel for Step Up: High Water, the YouTube Red series he is producing based on the Step Up films. After the panel, he spoke with /Film about the sequel to Enchanted. Shankman is set to direct the film, which is titled Disenchanted.

“We are handing in a script in a couple weeks that I’m super happy with,” Shankman said. “Then gotta get the music written.”

Disenchanted has been in development since 2010. Amy Adams will reprise her role as Gisele, the animated Disney princess who decided to stay in live-action New York at the end of Enchanted. The sequel is set 10 years after 2007’s Enchanted. As the title suggests, Giselle may be rethinking her love of the real world. That is still the premise of the new script, Shankman said.

“The fundamental story has changed a little bit, but not from the base story of it,” Shankman said. “It’s about Giselle 10 years later going, ‘What is happily ever after?’”

In classic Disney fashion, Enchanted had five musical numbers, three of which were nominated for Oscars (“Falling Slowly” from Once won that year). Shankman said there would be more songs in the sequel.

“There’s a lot more songs this time than there were in the original, at least in the planning phase right now,” Shankman said.

Enchanted was bookended with animated sequences. Shankman said fans can expect the same amount of animation in the sequel.

“As for the animation, it’s probably about the same amount,” he said.

Disenchanted could conceivably still make a 2018 release if the new script is greenlit immediately. For now, consider it TBD.

We would start this off with a spoiler alert, but if you haven’t heard about the ending of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice by now, well, not much can help you. The face-off between the heroes of Gotham and Metropolis ended in a way that most fans frankly didn’t see coming (or at least didn’t want to see coming). Superman finally succumbed to the kryptonite that always threatened to end him, and that meant that Clark Kent passed away, too.

Justice League opens with the superhero’s death looming over everything, framing Amy Adams‘ infamous Lois Lane as, basically, a widow. There was some question over whether Adams would appear in this ensemble edition, which is basically DC Comics’ answer to the Avengers, but any worry of that was assuaged when she appeared, albeit briefly, in the flick’s trailer this spring.

But it wouldn’t be a comic book epic if fans weren’t left to speculate, debate and argue about what exactly is going to go down in the full-length version, and this time around much of the mystery lies in Lois Lane’s contributions. In past DC movies the reporter has served mostly as a street-smart helper to Clark’s Superman, so the speculation that he may be coming back from the dead as an evil presence leaves much to be discussed for Adams.

Find out for yourself come November 17.
