Amy Adams visits “The Late Late Show with James Corden”

On January 09, Amy Adams stopped by “The Late Late Show with James Corden” for an interview. And she talked about the time she worked at the Gap.

Adams revealed that she was actually the star employee when she worked at one of the clothing stores in her hometown of Atlanta.

I was super. I was probably really annoying,Adams told Corden. “They put me as the greeter and I just did everything I was supposed to do, even if I didn’t want to, which is, like, there’s something called the ‘Gap Act’, which is you have to greet, approach, product information, add-on, clothes, thank.

Her eagerness to please, however, did not go over well with everyone, which was the case when the late Whitney Houston walked into the store.

And I was, like, gotta ‘Gap Act’ her,” recalled Adams, who told Houston, “Welcome to the Gap. Is there anything I can help you with? Let me tell you about our T-shirts that are on sale.

Houston was apparently not big into the Gap Act. “She went back into the dressing room and requested anybody else,” added Adams. “It’s true, it’s true. Anybody else, which made me laugh because I agreed that I was annoying but I couldn’t stop doing my job.

During the interview, Adams also related another encounter with a celebrity before she became one herself, recalling how she once spotted U2 frontman Bono while working as a waitress at Hooters, and explained why he wound up giving her a kiss on the cheek.
